Question by snowyegret: 1980 Dodge Course Do Converter Problems?
I have a 1980 Dodge Country Camper Class C motorhome and I feel the converter is out on it. The frig, and lights operate on the battery but not when we plug the RV in to the elec. at campsites. They run great til the battery runs lifeless. The electrical shops never function on the battery or the elec at the campground. We assume the converter is bad but I have no notion where to locate the converter or what it appears like. Anyone know? Many thanks
frig is 3-way. frig functions excellent off the battery, but the generator is not doing work so it runs the battery down. We have fuses & breakers in the breaker box. We replaced the fuse that runs the frig & that didn’t support. There are four breakers & 6 fuses. The breakers are on. Could the massive black cord be bad? It is frayed. When we plug it in,absolutely nothing occurs. Is there a way with an electrical meter to check out if the breakers are doing work? We filled the propane & couldn’t get something in the RV that runs on propane to go on & then all the propane came speeding back out the valve you fill at so we have to get a new fill valve. We will do that & attempt yet again. We only have one propane tank. I couldn’t odor any leaks inside the RV so I really do not know why the propane was not functioning in the stove/oven. It only leaked outside the house the RV. We would like to use the h2o heater & debated placing in an elec. immediate heat for sizzling water. It is good to be in a position to get a shower in there. more...

I am renting an RV for the very first time and need some advise. How typically do we have to empty the tanks (Black & Grey h2o tanks, 55g). We are renting a course Do (30ft) RV for eight grown ups, I am worried if we have to maintain emptying the tanks each now and then? I am told, there are these Sewer Hook ups accessible at camp grounds. These sewer lines remain hooked up to the RV all by way of the night time until early morning? In that case, I am fine, since we can can do the shower, do the morning chores, use the toilet and so on whilst the sewer is immediately hooked up to the sewer lines, and when absolutely everyone are empty and fresh, we can unhook the lines and generate off. Even so, if it is like, hook to the sewer lines, empty the tank and move your motor vehicle for other individuals in line (Just like how we pump gasoline at a fuel station), and repeat the cycle every single time the tank will get total, then I have my function reduce out I guess…? The a single dealership I took it to explained it would value me $ 1600-1700 for them to do the within and $ 425 to do the exterior.
