I am a Canadian citizen and I would like to purchase a Class B RV that is in Florida.?
This vehicle is not on the list of vehicles that can be imported into Canada. I live close to the US border, and could easily use it without driving it in Canada. Would I be able to register, license and insure a vehicle in Michigan if I do not reside there? Would an address of where the vehicle will be kept be sufficient?
Thanks for the answer Joseph C. I was wondering how snowbirds buy vehicles in Florida and leave them there all year in storage.

You must register any vehicle you own in the state or province that you live in. If you register the rig in the U.S. but live in Canada you might be liable for fraud. At the least a hefty fine. Then again, you just might make it. Think of the consequences if you don’t.
I would look further into bring it to Canada. A thorough check of Canadian registrations (the Gov’t office) should tell yhou if you can or can’t bring the rig home. Don’t trust anyone’s say-so.
